A VPN is a virtual private network that provides an encrypted connection over the Internet from a device to a network. It is a point-to-point connection across a private or public network, like the Internet. VPNs use special TCP/IP or UDP-based protocols, called tunneling protocols, to make a virtual call to a virtual port on a VPN server. To connect to a VPN, you can use the VPN settings page on your device, or use the wizard to enter the address and login credentials of the VPN service you want to use.
