
best way to clean the whole underside of the car to get oil off?
Aug 24, 2008 · The whole underside of the car from the engine bay back is covered in a thick coating of oil. I don.t really know how i can get it all off? Only thing i can think of is to spray it in degreaser and try to spray it while it's on jack stands? anyone else have any ideas? I am getting the car painted soon and want to get it off before i have it ...

Dec 13, 2002 · Then bolt these fabricated steel wheels on one side of the car. They then took 2 more steel wheels and welded lifting eyes to the wheels and bolted these wheels on the oppisite side of the car. Being in a garage, they were able to lift the one side of the car and using the fabricated wheels as the pivot point.

Jan 11, 2012 · I did my Dad's 66 Nova with epoxy, then a satin black single stage paint. Looks great, but this isn't a DD or bad weather car, only driven on nice sunny days. The last car he had, a 70 Chevelle, we just did the epoxy. The guy that purchased the car, still looks great 5yrs later, once again only driven in nice weather.

May 10, 2006 · It is ok to use sand on the underside, engine compartment, door posts and rockers but it WILL ruin your doors, fenders, roof, hood, etc. With a compressor that small (assuming that is what you plan to use) and the small nozzle I would think you will need an aggressive small grain media like sand but some of the more experienced blasters here ...

My thoughts were to sandblast the underside of the car, use body filler to cover the seams from the new floor pans, and shoot the underside with some kind of primer. The reason I ask is because it looks like the flywheel or something, and there's bolt holes around it that look like some cover has been taken off or something. Just curious.
