Oct 26, 2020 · I can't get my HP 2009m monitor to connect with my MacBook laptop. I purchased an HDMI to VGA adapter. When I connect the cable and adapter together and then plug into my laptop the screen on my MacBook flickers (or blinks continuously). But nothing happens when to the desktop monitor. The monitor says the cable undetected and goes to sleep.

May 7, 2011 · Try a monitor reset. Unplug the monitor’s power cord and hold down the monitor’s power button for 30-60 seconds. Plug the monitor back in and power it up. If that doesn’t work then go into the monitor’s menu and do a factory reset.
