Gumbet is a short bus ride from where we stayed in Bodrum. The sea is mucky along the shore and quite shallow until you go quite a way out where it becomes cleaner. To stay on a sunbed you have to buy drinks from a nearby restaurant. The beaches are overcrowded and quite dirty.
