Just follow the many signs to ‘Old City’. By bus: most of Bristol's buses stop at the Centre Promenade (Broad Quay) which is a 2 minute walk away from Old City, or take the City Sightseeing tour bus. By train: from Bristol Temple Meads mainline station a 15 minute bus ride (services 8 or 9).
