Whatever happens with this investigation regarding government enforcement will likely pale to the mounting public mistrust of this brand and its equally infamous CEO. Tesla is already going full Tiger King unless the entire board and leadership changes.

The first step is to ask the company to volunteer to produce documents. Tesla would be stupid not to agree, you don't want to get on the DOJ's bad side if they're investigating you.

A friend leased a Tesla for 3 years and paid the money for full self driving and then the system wasn't even available as a beta before he had to return the car. It probably saved Tesla a fair amount of money to do it this way because the computer in the car wasn't even sufficient to run what Tesla later released as FSD.
