The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) in Bangladesh has issued arrest warrants against ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and 12 others in connection to a case of enforced disappearances.

A court in Bangladesh has issued a second arrest warrant for former Prime Minister Sheikh on charges of enforced disappearances during her rule,the chief prosecutor said on Monday.

Bangladesh has repeatedly demanded the extradition of Sheikh Hasina from India. Now the question is whether India will hand over Sheikh Hasina? Will India accept Bangladesh's point? Or will it reject the demand outright?

Bangladesh has requested the extradition of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina from India, following her flight to New Delhi in August amid widespread student-led protests that resulted in her ousting after 15 years in power.

This comes after Bangladesh’s International Crimes Tribunal on October last year issued arrest warrants against former prime minister Sheikh Hasina and 45 others, including top Awami League leaders, in connection with alleged crimes against humanity during the recent mass student movement.

India has received the request for extradition of ousted former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina from Dhaka, the Ministry of External Affairs confirmed on Friday.

India on Friday declined to say anything on Bangladesh's request for the extradition of former prime minister Sheikh Hasina.
