Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers made 18 arrests and confiscated six guns during Tuesday’s New Year’s Eve celebrations in uptown Charlotte, police said Saturday. Police said they arrested eight adults on drug, weapon, disorderly conduct and other charges and 10 young people ages 10 through 15.

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — 10 juveniles and eight adults have been arrested during New Year’s Eve in Uptown, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. Police said there were no major incidents during the holiday festivities and six firearms were taken.

Several kids were also arrested during the Uptown celebrations, which saw no major incidents that night, police said.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Four people are injured from an east Charlotte shooting Thursday night, Medic and CMPD confirmed. Emergency crews responded to the 8700 block of Purple Thistle Lane around 10:50 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2. All four of those shot had non-life-threatening injuries.

A dispute between people living at a home in east Charlotte late Thursday night led to a shooting that injured four people, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said in an update Friday morning.
