A Powerball ticket sold in California won $47,925 but just missed the $206 million jackpot, lottery officials say. The ticket matched four winning Powerball numbers and the Powerball in the drawing Saturday, Jan. 4, the California Lottery said.

Check back here at 11 p.m. for the Powerball winning numbers for Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025: Powerball drawings are held three times a week - Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Monday drawings were added in 2021.

The Powerball jackpot increased again after it remained unclaimed, but one lucky person won a couple million on Christmas.
