ANY change of site for a proposed $534 million Tweed Valley Hospital will lead to delays, says the department responsible for the project.

The “biggest hospital move in regional NSW history” has resulted in more than 120 patients being transferred to the new Tweed Valley Hospital by paramedics and private operators.

THEY did all they could to block construction of a $582 million hospital on farmland, but three Tweed councillors now admit they will be happy to use if they fall sick or are injured.

A new opening date has been set for the $723 million Tweed Valley Hospital at Cudgen after Covid and the record northern NSW floods impacted work, among other factors.
