Around or about lunchtime, an officer was injured today in a shooting in Santa Monica, prompting a search for a suspect at the Santa Monica Place Mall.

Police said around 3 p.m. that "Santa Monica Place has been cleared" and orders to shelter in place were lifted throughout the downtown area, but that the suspect remains at large.
