A dog that supposedly leapt from a car window on Route 8 in Naugatuck over the weekend had to be euthanized, animal control said.

Video footage captured by a motorist in the car behind shows the German Shepherd observing the deer before jumping out of the window.

According to witnesses, the dog had been left inside of the car for at least 15 minutes and because of the hot temperature, Parker broke the side window to safely remove the dog from the car.

Dogs are fearless animals with no issues getting into trouble if it means they're the center of attention. But sometimes, what they do to get all eyes on them can be scary.
