A homeless person has set up camp just metres from the entrance of a council building. A tent has been pitched up outside Gateshead Civic Centre for over a week, it is understood.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to three of Gateshead’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
