Dutch Girl Donuts was founded in 1947 by Timmer's parents, John and Cecelia Timmer. Back then, it was a former Dixie Cream Donut franchise before the Timmers later renamed it.

Dutch Wagon stout is made with chocolate glazed doughnuts from Dutch Girl Donuts on Woodward in Detroit, plus coffee and creamy cocoa. It’s a hearty 8% alcohol by volume.
