The weekend is just beginning, but The Weeknd] could soon be at an end. The star born Abel Tesfaye has hinted (rather ominously) that his new album, Hurry Up Tomorrow, could very well be his last under that moniker, and with the album arriving tonight, he’s ensuring The Weeknd goes out with a bang.
It marks another collaboration between the artists following Lust for Life's "Stargirl Interlude" and Dawn FM's "Beautiful."
The performance offered a glimpse into the darker, more introspective aesthetic underpinning Hurry Up Tomorrow.
“Open Hearts” appears on Hurry Up Tomorrow, the Weeknd’s latest LP. The album, out today via XO/Republic Records, also includes previously-released singles “Timeless,” featuring Playboi Carti, and “Sao Paulo,” featuring Anitta. Hurry Up Tomorrow acts as the final of a trilogy, following 2020’s After Hours and 2022’s Dawn FM.
The Boston-bred group announced over the weekend the launch of a fundraiser they’ve dubbed “Heed the Call For California,” with 100% of the proceeds going to the California Fire Foundation Wildlife & Disaster Relief Fund, which will directly support victims across the state.
