Season 2 of HBO Max's hit medical drama The Pitt will arrive next year. The show's second season will reportedly focus on a long holiday weekend at the fictional Pittsburgh emergency medical center. Five new actors are set to join the cast as reoccurring characters.

To those of you “The Pitt” fans who have been not-so-secretly shipping senior attending physician Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinavitch (Noah Wyle) and E.R. senior resident Dr. Heather Collins (Tracy Ifeachor) on the hit HBO medical drama, we’ve got some bad news:

Tracy Ifeachor, who starred as Dr. Collins in the first season of “The Pitt,” won’t be returning for medical drama’s upcoming second season, TheWrap has learned. While Season 1 saw Dr. Collins as a fourth-year resident at the teaching hospital, she won’t be at the shift in Season 2, an individual with knowledge told TheWrap.
