Reports have indicated the General Services Administration under President Trump has or soon will order EV chargers shut off.

The General Services Administration (GSA), which manages buildings owned by the federal government, is planning to shut down all of its electric vehicle chargers nationwide, describing them as “not mission critical.” The agency, which manages contracts for the government’s vehicle fleets, is also looking to offload newly purchased EVs.

The GSA is also expected to offload its current stock of EVs, though it's unknown if the vehicles will be sold or put into storage. The agency will reportedly begin instructing employees to remove the chargers—which are used for both federally owned EVs and employees' personal vehicles—as early as next week.

As part of its continued efforts to own the libs, or get rid of anything President Trump does not like or understand, the General Services Administration is gearing up to remove electric chargers from all federal properties nationwide.

The Trump administration is shutting down all federal government buildings' EV chargers and expected to sell off the GSA's newly bought EVs.

"As GSA has worked to align with the current administration, we have received direction that all GSA-owned charging stations are not mission-critical." The email also told employees that neither government-owned EVs nor employees' EVs would be able to charge on-campus after chargers were shut down.

The General Services Administration said that the chargers "were not mission critical," and will be turned off next week.
