The National Council of Negro Women’s seventh annual Vision of Beauty Cotillion will take place from 6-11 p.m. March 15 at the Lodge of New Russia Township, 46300 Butternut Ridge Road in Oberlin.

The Wellesley Cotillion, the town’s annual formal winter dance for high school juniors and seniors, this year is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 1 from 7:30-10:30pm at the Verve Hotel in Natick.

The Moraga-Orinda Fire District is performing prescribed burns to reduce wildfire hazards, which officials said are similar to those that fueled several deadly blazes in the Los Angeles area.
