The NBA is planning to put a sponsored Kia logo on the upper left chest of player jerseys for both the 2016 and 2017 All-Star games, according to the league.

The Magic rebranded their arena as Kia Center on Wednesday, a change that ends the building’s 13-year run of being known as Amway Center. The arena is home to more than just Magic basketball.

The celebration of the new logo and uniforms will continue for the fans with the Magic hosting an event today, Tuesday, June 3 from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. ET at Kia Center.

But as Kia poises to continue its sponsorship of the NBA this evening when the league resumes play in its Covid-19 “bubble” in Florida, much has changed. Consider the pro-basketball league.

Kia will have its signage in and outside the stadium, and will also put in electric vehicle charging stations at the arena. This also furthers the relationship between the car maker and the NBA.
