Champions of Design: Montblanc Sleek lines, attention to detail and German quality have made the fountain-pen brand a global success.
The iconic Montblanc Meisterstück pen first launched in 1924 with the 149 Fountain Pen and has since expanded to include rollerball and ballpoint versions.
It wasn't until 1924 when the German house introduced the Meisterstück—a pen that has since become synonymous with Montblanc—and now, it's celebrating its 100 year anniversary.
Montblanc hired director Wes Anderson to create an iconic ad for the Meisterstück's 100 anniversary, and the director made his own pen.
Wes Anderson created and starred in Montblanc's new ad campaign celebrating the Meisterstück pen and also designed his own writing instrument.
The pens, priced from $615 to $2,765, have the original Meisterstück logo on the cap and commemorate the centenary with the years 1924 and 2024 engraved on the band and the pen’s nib.
A fountain pen is like a tie these days. It’s not a necessity but an expression of taste—and a chance to snatch a little extra joy from the grip of everyday existence.
It turns out Anderson has directed a funny 3-minute short film commercial for the uber fancy German pen company Montblanc. They just debuted it online and it's absolutely worth a quick watch.
Montblanc is launching a premium range of men's fragrances, entitled the Heritage Collection. There are four fragrances altogether, all of which are available to purchase at Escentual.com.
