The company's operations manager Brett McKay says they've been able to juggle their stockpile of timber residues so that the Bridgewater mill can reopen, but it's not a long term solution.

A hardwood sawmill in St Helens officially opens today after a $2 million upgrade. The upgrade enables to McKay Timber sawmill to better cope with the transition to producing plantation timber.
