Apple has provided an artists' rendering of its redesigned 32-foot glass cube entrance on Fifth Avenue in New York City, showing what the $6.7 million project will look like once completed.

Apple first unveiled the now-iconic glass cube — said to be designed by late cofounder Steve Jobs — in May of 2006, and the location has become one of the most photographed sites in the area.

A worker drove a snowblower into the store's famous cube during Tuesday's snowstorm, creating perhaps thousands of tiny cracks in the glass.

A team of workers spent Friday at the Park Avenue Armory putting together the centerpiece of the set for “The Lehman Trilogy,” an 800-square-foot transparent cube.
