The bodies of three trapped workers were recovered from a coal mine in Assam’s Dima Hasao district, raising the total to four. Rescue operations continue as authorities work to dewater the mine that was abandoned 12 years ago.

The four deceased labourers are among the nine workers trapped inside the coal mine in Umrangsu on Monday after a sudden gush of water flooded the quarry.
