For the first time since Angie Stone’s passing on March 1, her children have shared a heartfelt statement with fans.
"Currently funeral services are still being planned along with the memorial service so that Angie’s fans can honor her life, music, and legacy. Even though Angie is no longer with us physically her family wants you to keep her legacy alive."
According to TMZ, the Sequence hip-hop member was killed in a car crash while leaving a performance in Montgomery, Ala.
Funeral arrangements are set for Angie Stone. The Stockbridge resident, who died in a car crash last week, will have two services: a public memorial in Atlanta on Friday and a more intimate ceremony in her hometown of Columbia, S.C., on Saturday. Her rep, Deborah Champagne, confirmed the news to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Angie Stone, a soul and R&B singer behind hits like “No More Rain (In This Cloud)” and “Wish I Didn’t Miss You,” died Saturday morning in a vehicle collision, her longtime publicist, Yvonne Forbes, told CNN.
