The handbag belonging to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was stolen at a restaurant in Washington, D.C., over the weekend, officials with the Department of Homeland Security confirmed to the Deseret News on Monday.

The man who allegedly stole a Gucci bag loaded with cash from Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was sitting at the table next to hers, according to video of Sunday’s incident reviewed by Secret Service investigators.

The homeland security secretary was dining at a Washington, D.C., restaurant. She also lost her passport and keys.
