The trade deadline has come and gone, and boy, was it a douzy. While it didn’t boast the number of trades we usually expect, the quality of the players moved undoubtedly made up for it.

With trade deadline day kicking off reasonably slow, NHL Insider Bob McKenzie gave some insight into the future of a potential Mikko Rantanen deal. Friday's deadline has seen one big trade so far with Dylan Cozens headed to the Ottawa Senators.

Most of the big players available on the market have changed addresses (Mikko Rantanen, Brock Nelson, and Dylan Cozens to name a few). Rantanen will have finally played only 13 games with the Hurricanes (in which he accumulated six meager points).
