Two climate protesters were arrested Wednesday for spraying orange paint on the ancient Stonehenge monument in southern England, police said.

Stonehenge was been sprayed with orange paint by climate activists on June 19 demanding action on fossil fuels just one day before summer solstice.

English Heritage said the orange paint had been removed using a "specialist handheld blower". It told the BBC that if rain had come into contact with the powder, damage could have been significant.
