Fauja Singh, the world’s oldest marathon runner and a symbol of resilience, died in a road accident near his native village in Punjab. The 114-year-old, known as the “Turbaned Tornado,” was hit by an SUV while on his afternoon walk and later succumbed to injuries.
The accused has been identified as Amritpal Singh Dhillon (26), a resident of Dasupur in Kartarpur. He was travelling from Bhogpur to Kishahgarh on Monday when he hit Fauja Singh.
