Tom Farnquist talked about the history of shipwrecks along the coast of Lake Superior west of the lighthouse, which is located on the northern-most point of Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

Whitefish Point, home to the oldest active lighthouse on Lake Superior’s Shipwreck Coast, had at least three visits this summer from major television crews.

The lighthouse is only 14.5 miles from Whitefish Point, but the road trip is more than twice as long and takes at least an hour.
