The Dolby Theatre, home to the Oscars for the past two decades (and through at least 2028), has a new owner. An investment group led by Elie Samaha purchased the 3,400-seat Dolby in Hollywood.

The Dolby is part of the Ovation complex at Hollywood and Highland, a high-traffic tourist area even when the Oscars are not in session. The theater seats 3,400 and went up for sale in October 2023.
