Gateway Playhouse in Somers Point will open its first musical of 2025, “South Pacific,” by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II. The show runs on weekends beginning this month.

The plot is based on James A. Michener's Pulitzer-Prize winning 1947 book Tales of the South Pacific and combines elements of several of those stories.
