Salah Yahye, the 19-year-old attacker, was shot dead by an armed civilian during the incident on Saturday afternoon at 4.30pm local time. Magen David Adom, the emergency service provider, said staff were treating one male victim in his thirties who was taken to hospital in a conscious state.

The Magen David Adom, Israel's national ambulance service, said medical teams were providing treatment to a 30- year-old man "injured by stabbing." A passerby shot the attacker, according to Magen David Adom.

Israeli police said that an assailant stabbed and seriously wounded a person in the centre of commercial hub Tel Aviv on Saturday, before being shot and "neutralised" by a civilian. "An armed civilian nearby shot and neutralised" the attacker.
