Kanchipuram, the City of a Thousand Temples, attracts tourists and pilgrims with its magnificent temples, rich history as the Pallava capital, and spiritual significance as one of the Moksha-Puris.

The 10-day National Silk Expo-2015 kick-started at the TTD Kalyan Mandapam at Himayath Nagar in the city. The exposition was inaugurated by Tollywood actress Mamatha Rahoot, Pancha mukhi movie fame.
