A man was fatally shot Monday evening near San Francisco’s Hallidie ... a block from the Market Street plaza that includes BART’s Powell Street station and the cable car turnaround.

In 2024, a 17-year-old boy was fatally shot in Hallidie Plaza and a 74-year-old woman died after she was shoved into the side of a train at the Powell Street station.
