Sonic is returning to his 2D roots as Project Needlemouse is revealed to be Sonic the Hedgehog 4, a direct continuation of the 16 bit games that's coming to all major consoles this Summer.

Sega has finally taken the wraps off of the not-so-mysterious Project Needlemouse, and it turns out it's just what everyone was hoping for: a return to classic 2D Sonic the Hedgehog gameplay.
