Tributes are flooding in from the football world following the passing of Manchester United legend Denis Law, aged 84

Law won two league titles with Manchester United and was a member of their European Cup-winning side under Sir Matt Busby in 1968.

The club said in a statement: "Everyone at Manchester United is mourning the loss of Denis Law, the King of the Stretford End, who has passed away, aged 84. Our deepest condolences go out to Denis's family and many friends. His memory will live on forever more."

Former Manchester United and Scotland striker Denis Law, who has died at the age of 84, was hailed Friday as a "football giant" whose "memory will live on forever more".

With his eye for goal and effervescent personality, Denis Law was the darling of a generation as the Scotland striker played a key role in Manchester United's rise from tragedy to triumph.It was the last goal Law scored in a competitive match as he retired after playing for Scotland at his only World Cup a few months later.
