Hypotheses are flying that Starbucks is promoting a "gay agenda" through gender-neutral hands on the side of a color-your-own coffee cup and two women holding hands in one of its videos.

While the hands are unidentifiable as male or female on the cup, the commercial promoting it shows a female couple getting cozy over cups of coffee, before reaching out to touch one another’s hands.
