Now, both Thornburg and Jobe are being memorialized on a mile marker. Monday morning, the first Lost to DUI Roadside Memorial Marker was unveiled in Ellsworth County.

The first DUI Roadside Memorial Marker in Kansas will memorialize Kyle Thornburg and Kylie Jobe. The young Wichita couple was killed by a drunken driver in 2011 on I-70.

The historical agency and Kansas Department of Transportation have erected 117 historical highway markers, but only 12 new markers have been added in the past 35 years, and none since 1999.
