A British man has died after he was pulled unconscious from sea after he was on holiday in Greece.. The 64-year-old tourist was found by other holidaymakers on the Alykanas beach in Zante.

At €10 each way, the carriage rides are good value and something all visitors to Alykanas should experience. Eating out is cheap, probably the only welcome result of Greece’s economic woes.

A 64-year-old man had been swimming off the coast of Zante on Tuesday afternoon before he was pulled from the waves unconscious at around 3.30pm local time.
