PHOENIX — ‘Thundercat Lounge, the 80s-early 90s dance club concept in Downtown Phoenix, that opened in January has permanently closed its doors as of Tuesday, November 26.

The club was on the first floor, with a small, raised dance floor, with basic disco lights, and a big bar — priorities very clear. Like most PE clubs, it smelled of stale beer and cheap perfume.

“It's going to be an `80s and `90s dance bar,” says Dall. “There used to be a real popular `80s bar in the Flats called the Basement. I'm actually surprised no one's done an `80s bar.” ...
