A union for thousands of city workers in Philadelphia has reached a deal with the city to end a more than weeklong strike that halted residential curbside trash pickup and other services.

Union manager Bradley Carnell had picked a first-choice lineup for Wednesday's U.S. Open Cup quarterfinal. The postponement due to thunderstorms means he could roll it out again on Saturday.
