Several inches of snow expected Friday
Some mixing in of sleet and/or rain is expected at least over southern Middle Tennessee by midday on Friday. Some mixing may even approach the I-840 or I-40 corridor for a short time. That said, snow is the most likely precipitation type through the duration of the storm in Nashville.

Significant winter weather is expected on Friday as a winter storm tracks through the area. Accumulating snow is looking likely for most of north Alabama with some ice mixing in for areas south of Tennessee River. Expect hazardous travel conditions to develop through the day on Friday and last through the weekend.
