The Republican-leaning Arizona Supreme Court unanimously ruled Friday that nearly 98,000 people whose citizenship documents hadn’t been confirmed can vote in state and local races, saying the voters were not at fault for a database error that for two decades mistakenly designated them as having access to the full ballot.

The Arizona Supreme Court decided on Friday to allow nearly 100,000 people who registered to vote over the last 20 years to keep the right to vote a full ballot after a lawsuit stemming from a glitch raised concerns.

Nearly 100,000 Arizonans who the state recently discovered have not provided proof of citizenship will still be able to vote on all races, at least this year, the
