To celebrate National Hot Dog Day, Mid-Atlantic convenience chain Sheetz is offering customers two free hot dogs through its app, according to a news release. Customers must purchase a minimum of 10 gallons of fuel in a single transaction to receive the offer.

The time between Memorial Day and Labor Day is considered “hot dog season," according to the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council. Consumers buy about 38% of the year's hot dogs during that time, amassing sales of $1.16 billion, estimates the group.
