Class is in session for season five of Abbott Elementary on ABC.

The network has ordered a fifth season of Abbott, the Emmy-winning comedy from creator and star Quinta Brunson. The renewal comes midway through the show’s fourth season, and on the heels of the show’s most-watched episode of the current season.

A new episode of “Abbott Elementary” season 4 will air on Wednesday, Jan. 22. The new episode will air at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC. Those without cable can watch the show for free through FuboTV or DirecTV Stream each offering a free trial to new users. Sling is another option for streaming the show, and promotional offers are available.

Of course, Abbott almost definitely would have been renewed regardless of Always Sunny‘s influence. This isn’t the first early pickup the show has scored, and it hopefully won’t be the last. With today’s announcement,
