We had a great trip on the railway. There was so much to do at the main station, lots of eating and drinking opportunities, fantastic to see the trains that were being worked on.Full review by rosamundwood

We are wanting to book and have a compartment to ourselves. We are two adults and two infants. Do we need need to book first class or do we class as 4 persons and therefore get a standard compartment to ourselves? Even though the infants are travelling for free.

Is this attraction recommended for a two year old? A little worried a hour on the train might be a little long for him. Also is it recommended to book early. Does it get busy in the summer?

Allow plenty of time to explore all the attractions at Havenstreet station. We can be popular on peak Summer days; however we’re a large site with lots of space to spread out if you want to find a quiet corner.
