We went to Sandy Ridge for the birds and we got so much more. Plenty of butterflies and dragonflies and other interesting creatures. Great place for photography as well. Highly recommend it.Full review by stazandgazer

Good question! No, pets and bicycles aren’t allowed, since it’s a kind of nature preserve. A lot of migrating birds pass through here and the rangers don’t want them to be startled or hurt. Oh, by the way, give the geese a wide berth when they’re are laying eggs or have goslings. They can be VERY aggressive then!
